Aircrack-ng works on Linux and Windows. If you explore the Aircrack-ng site your will find a tutorial, downloads and even LiveCD and VMware image.

NetStumbler - 0.4.0

Windows users may want to download and use NetStumble. NetStumbler is not passive, but you can gain a lot information about the wireless APs around your location.

Airsnort

Airsnort is a passive tool which monitors transmissions to break WEP encryption. After gathering enough packets Airsnort will compute the encryption key. Airshort is no longer maintained, but it can still be downloaded at http://airsnort.shmoo.com
